Introductory Training: Safeguarding Children and Young People
What will I learn?
By the end of this training, you will be able to:
Explain the meaning of child abuse and what it means to keep children safe
Recognise the different types of abuse and neglect, along with their common signs and indicators
Understand how to respond appropriately when you have concerns about a child’s wellbeing, and know who to report those concerns to
Describe the correct procedures for reporting concerns and recording what you’ve observed
Identify key laws and national guidance that shape child protection policies and practices in your region particularly in an international setting
