Location

Beijing is located in the northern part of China, just south of the Yan Mountains and close to the western shores of the Bohai Sea. Geographically, it lies in the northeastern region of the North China Plain, making it a key gateway between China’s interior and the coastal regions.

The city shares borders with Hebei Province on most sides and Tianjin Municipality to the southeast. Its strategic location has historically made it a political, economic, and cultural crossroads, serving as a vital link between northern and southern China.
